Growing into a purveyor to camera enthusiasts around the world
The challenge was that Camera Shop (CS) wanted to sell both on their own cross-border EC site and on eBay, CS had just started their company and they wanted to build an international customer base as quickly as possible and increase sales steadily, and at the same time, all the cameras and accessories they sold were second-hand so they are unable to foresee any risk of returns or maintenance.
With the companionship support from two cross-border EC experts who were formerly from eBay, Camara Shop first achieved sales of few millions JPY in the first month on eBay, and then j-Grab provided advices to Camera Shop to convert the customers that have purchased once on eBay into customers on their own Magento EC Store.
Once a customer has made a purchase on eBay, Camera Shop will import them into Magento and convert them into their own customers, and the infrastructure is left to j-Grab, so they can operate stably on a low-cost server. In the future, they would like to introduce RPA and improve their daily operation.

With the know-how we have developed over the past five years, we opened our camera shop in Hanzomon on 10 October 2016. We visited camera shows all over the world, studied with collectors from all over the world, learned about customer care and market prices as the Japanese contact point for the Austrian camera auction "Westlicht", and founded the company in the hope of helping to pass on the silver halide camera culture to posterity.
Before asking j-Grab to build an EC site with Magento, we had already ordered a company to build a cross-border EC site. Unfortunately, the communication with the representative of that company did not go well. Even though we paid half of the starting fee first, the EC site did not developed and there is no refund received.
We want to manage to launch a cross-border EC site with the remaining half money, so I searched Google for a company that can build a site with Magento. As the result, I had found j-Grab and successfully built the cross-border EC site with the remaining money. At last, the cross-border EC store is built and I am able to open it in October 2016.
There are camera enthusiasts all over the world, but in order to practice the coupling of the cross-border EC store built with Magento recommended by j-Grab and the opening of overseas EC malls in eBay, we carried out simultaneous progress from site construction to opening an eBay store.Thanks to j-Grab, Camera Shop has achieved more sales than expected from the first month of opening. Now, we are also selling on domestic EC Yahoo! Auctions!
At first, this company is started with just one person, but now there are six camera enthusiasts in this company. We are looking forward to j-Grab's inventory integration between "Yahoo! Auctions!" and "Magento + eBay."
